Founded in Urbana in 1975, Berns, Clancy and Associates is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm encompassing civil engineering, urban planning, traffic engineering, transportation planning and engineering, agricultural engineering, hydrology, drainage, environmental engineering, municipal engineering, construction administration and surveying services.

Since inception, Berns, Clancy and Associates has grown steadily to its current staff of approximately 28 employees, including 8 Professional Engineers, Surveyors, and Planners. Of these employees, eight (8) are graduate Civil Engineers, one (1) of whom is also an Attorney, and two (2) area graduate Agricultural Engineers. This staff gives us the flexibility to provide fast, efficient service while maintaining the personal involvement and attention of our principals and senior staff members.

The size of Berns, Clancy and Associates as well as the structure of our offices, allows for excellent communication between the support staff, professionals and principals. Concerns are quickly addressed and resolved by our principals who are involved in day-to-day decisions and design operations. This brings the maximum experience, talent and abilities of our firm to your project. This high level of senior involvement is our sincerest form of Quality Assurance.
